Facilities Update We have put together a summer works schedule to further improve our school estates in time for the start of the new academic year. This provides a positive impact for all our school communities and increases the standard of facilities our pupils have grown to expect from our buildings and wider estate. Highlights of the works scheduled: · Corpus Christi – improved outdoor space through tarmac remedial works to an area of space, currently not in use. · Our Lady of Mount Carmel – completion of the large-scale air source heat pump installation project. · St Benedict’s – Improvements to the schools outdoor learning provision by creating a more accessible and safer pond area and key stage 1 canopy installation works. · St Gildas – redecoration and soft furnishings to the early years classrooms along with some essential fire maintenance upgrade works. · St Joseph’s, Bridgwater – finalisation of surveys and plans for the Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) implementation later in the year. · St Joseph’s, Burnham - large scale outdoor provision works, including a much-needed space for ball games along with essential works to enhance safety. · St Joseph & St Teresa’s - a substantial extension to the early years steel canopy with some additional apparatus, extending their outdoor offer for their pupils. · St Louis – corridor and classroom redecoration along with some upgraded floor coverings. · St Mary’s, Chippenham – year 6 washroom refurbishment and ongoing cyclical painting schedule.
